Rich Allen is a certified dog trainer located in Rochester New York who started working with dogs over 27 years ago, working in the protection sports fields along with obedience using a spectrum of different training methods, including physical punishment and fearful methods. Over the years the more education he has received the more he realized the physical and fearful punishment methods were not only not necessary, but creating more harm than good. While getting his Certified Animal Behaviorist (CAB) certificate through International Canine Behaviorists and his Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers along with Professional Member of Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), Learning new methods to work with reactive and fearful dogs that actually enhance the learning of new behaviors has been a huge success along with the continuing education to keep up with the newest behavioral practices has made him an always improving trainer in multiple fields of animal training. 2022 People’s Choice Award for Best Pet Training

Words can't express how amazing Wags to Richs is.. Carol, Rich and all the staff are amazing.. they go above and beyond for my best friend Sadie.. they treat her like they're own animal.. Wags does birthday party's for her.. dresses her up in cool outfits for the holidays.. the facility is super clean.. Sadie basically grew up here and I wouldn't bring her anywhere else.. Wags to Richs is the only place I will trust for my doggy daycare services. This place has helped me so much and has given me peace of mind. Knowing my pup is in good hands while I am at work, he can play around with other pups and socialize. They also have given me tips to help manage my doggos separation anxiety. My dog is my everything as I live with only him, he makes my life so much better and seeing him happy is one of the best feelings you can ask for from a Training/daycare setting. I go out of my way to drop my dog off here on a regular schedule. Amazing people.

Hey Caroline, Guess who loose leash walks now and looks to me for cheese when he sees other dogs at a tolerable distance?….. Harrison. No spray bottle or shock collar needed. It works!!!! Thanks to you and Rich for giving us the tools and showing us how to use them. Rich and Caroline are great coaches for dog owners, especially those with reactive and fearful ones.
